This grant utilized the services of Conservation Corps Minnesota. Through this effort, over 650 feet of streambank was stabilized at two different sites in Jackson and Murray Counties using the cedar revetment method. Maintenance was also conducted on 30 acres of restored prairie. HLWD staff and the Conservation Corps crew spot sprayed to control invasive weeds such as Canada Thistle and sweet clover. The crew and staff also identified over 20 native species within the restored prairie.
